A German stained glass panel given as a gift in 1914 to a church by the Pastor and showing George the Pious, (1484-1543).

George, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach, known as George the Pious was much taken by the teachings of Martin Luther and he was subsequently to be involved in the reformation of the church by breaking away from Rome and helping to form the Lutheran Evangelical movement, this stained panel was commissioned in 1914-15 and installed in the Lutheran Church in Dorfkemnathen bei Dinkelsbuhl Southern Germany by Friedrich Georg Zindel (1869-1940) the Pastor there at that time. Framed, size 92cm by 47cm
