19thC. AFRICAN CONGO DAGGER #8899
A 19th century African Congo dagger of the Boa/Zande tribe, double edged 15 inch blade, hand forged and with 2 offset ridges at the edges and scored with groves either side , carved wooden handle bound with copper wire, overall 17¾ inches. #8899mlo
This axe was brought to Denmark in 1905 by Heinrich de Rohde a ships Captain on the Congo river, he died in 1908
