A heavy 19th century Philippine Mindanao Kris (also called a Sundang) from the Sulu Archipelago of the Tausug tribe, double edged 21 inch blade with a central ridge, the blade stained with overall light pitting, the hilt completely covered with gilt filigree work, the pommel, in the form of a stylised bird,(loose) the original wooden scabbard with 3 silver decorated bands.
