A late 19th century African Congo knife from the Saka/Mongo people of the Tetela Tribe, large leaf shaped double edged 31cm blade tapering from 9cm, the hand forged blade with a central raised rib either side and surrounded by 4 other raised ribs, serrated decoration at the top of the blade, the hilt partly copper bound and brass coil wrapped, the top set with 24 domed brass tacks.
