
MID 20TH C. REPLICA OF A 19TH C, SCOTTISH HIGHLAND DIRK #10180
A well made mid 20th century replica of an early 19th century Scottish Highland dirk, bright 35cm spearpoint blade with a fuller either side, the blade etched "THY KING AND COUNTRY CAUSE DEFEND THOUGH ON THE SPOT YOUR LIFE SHOULD END" the wooden hilt carved as a Turks head knot, the brass pommel still retaining the original gilding, the hand sewn brown leather scabbard with decoration, gilt brass fittings, (some loss) containing the bi-knife and fork ensuite with the hilt, the top mount with the initials to form HF and stamped Scotland (Illegible). Overall 52cm.
