MID 19th C. SILVER MOUNTED SCOTTISH HIGHLAND DIRK. #10181

A mid 19th century un-hallmarked silver mounted Scottish Highland Dirk, spear-point 33cm blade (Stained) with scalloped back edge, a wide fuller either side and pierced along the top of the blade, carved wooden hilt set with silver studs, the silver fittings cast with thistles, the pommel set an amethyst stone, contained in the the wooden, hand sewn leather covered scabbard with 4 silver fittings engraved with thistles, 2 fittings containing the bi-knife and fork ensuite with the hilt, one stone replaced later with another amethyst, the top mount with suspension loops, overall 47cm. A light chip to the amethyst on the fork handle.    #10181too
