A late 19th century Indonesian Golok machete from West Java, carved water buffalo horn head, carved as a grotesque monster, single edged slightly curved 50cm hand forged laminated blade, traces of rust, in the original wooden sheath with 3 bands of woven rattan binding, overall 66cm #10205eo
Provenance: Acquired by a Danish civil engineer who worked on bridge construction in the then Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) in the early 1900s. Inherited in the family to this day.
